To keep great deals flowing and our inventory fresh, Cheapskates uses a unique pricing system that's unlike anything you'll find at a typical sporting goods store.

One of the questions we hear most often is, "What's with all the dates on the price tags?" Here's the answer: every two weeks an item remains in the store, its price automatically drops by 20%. If a date on the tag has passed, the price beside it is now in effect. It's our way of making sure prices stay fair, gear keeps moving, and there's always something new to discover.

If an item is still here after 10 weeks, its price eventually reaches $0. Yep, free. At that point, anyone in-store can take it home—because we'd rather see a piece of equipment back in the game than collecting dust on a shelf.
